So how does this work? We raise animals, using regenerative agricultural practices, that have access to fresh air, pasture, water, and a natural diet, ensuring the highest quality products for your table. But how does it get to your table? For larger animals, like pigs and lambs, we partner with The Meating Place to process your meat as you wish with pick-up at their butcher shop. For smaller animals (chicken, turkey, and eggs), we process here for your pick-up or offer delivery for eggs.

About Our Farm

Sunny Hill Farm was established in 1913 by the Boeckli family. At the time it consisted of 40 acres and was a subsistence farm. Its main source of income was from milk and cream from its dairy featuring Brown Swiss cows which won many awards at the Multnomah County Fair. As the story goes, Hans Boeckli opened the fair by walking 17 cows around the arena with their Swiss bells ringing around their necks, and Hans yodeling.

We bought the farm in 2017 excited about maintaining its legacy and reviving the rich agricultural history of this place. While I don’t have a dairy and I haven’t taken up yodeling yet, we also set our farm up for subsistence. We grow most of the meat, eggs, vegetables, and fruit that our family of four eats. We are excited about sustaining this way of life and know that we need to be good stewards of the land. Our animals are a big part of keeping our land healthy and food from healthy soil is better for our health. Learn more about our farming practices by clicking the button below.
