Chicken Deposit
Our meat chickens are raised on pasture and moved daily. Whole chicken is provided in shrink wrapped bags for pick up at the farm.
Chickens are $6.25/lb. (hanging weight) and typically weigh between 4.5 – 5.5 lb. Total cost will be invoiced, with your deposit being credited back to you.

Cornish cross chicks arrive at the farm and are raised inside a brooder with deep bedding for about 2 weeks, depending on weather, then moved to pasture inside a chicken tractor
Chickens are fed organic meat chicken feed and supplemented with garden or orchard scrapes, as available. In addition, they have ample forage opportunities and will consume most of the grass within the chicken tractor, which is moved each day.
Roasted chicken comes out flavorful, tender, and moist.
Chickens are processed on-farm and will be packaged in shrink wrap and frozen, unless you wish to pick them up prior to the freezer.
Chickens are raised between April – October and are typically ready for pickup in two or three batches June/July, August/September, and October, depending on interest. Please specify early, late, or both timing when placing the orders if you have a preference. I’ll do my best to consider it in my schedule.
Once deposits are in place, I will develop a schedule and let you know an approximate schedule for pickup. Chickens can be held in my freezer until they are convenient for you to pick up, within reason.
